Tim Imbach was born in Los Angeles and raised in Sonoma County. Growing up in a musical family, he started playing piano and singing at a young age. Tim has performed with several groups in the area and has directed church choirs, vocal ensembles, and musical theater productions. He has a passion for a cappella music and tight vocal harmony.
Jeff played trumpet in high school, switched to guitar and vocals through and well after college, and then jumped into choirs and later barbershop choruses and quartets including his long-time four-some: Leading Tones. He co-founded SingChronous and the Manzanita Harmony tenor/bass choir because of his love for the resonance and harmony of acapella singing and the joy it brings him to share that music with others.
Spencer grew up surrounded by music, playing guitar, piano, and French horn. He studied Music Performance at Sonoma State University, and was drawn towards vocal music post-Covid. He sang with the Penninsulaires and fell in love with the barbershop style
Jason played jazz trombone from a young age in different ensembles. Once Jason and his wife Tracy had children, performing music went on the back burner. After retiring from engineering in 2023, he joined the California Redwood Chorale and, shortly thereafter, Manzanita Harmony. He is finding tremendous joy in vocal harmony.
Nicole sings alto (occasionally tenor), plays piano, and dabbles in ukulele and any instrument that draws her attention. She has been singing since birth and became a huge choir nerd in high school, then joined a cappella groups in college. She is overjoyed to join SingChronous and get back into beautiful harmonious music!
Cole Daly - tenor
Cole grew up in Sonoma County as an instrumentalist and singer, beginning classical piano training at the age of four and adding trombone to the mix a few years later. Inspired by his father's guitar playing and his mother's encouragement to harmonize along to 90s and 2000s radio hits on long drives, Cole picked up the guitar as a teenager and joined the Analy High School honor choir where he was graced with the opportunity to sing with an Eric Whitacre led choir at Carnegie Hall and with the Chanticleer Lab Choir in San Francisco. Cole is excited to again experience music as a focal point in his life and inspire others to join musical communities wherever he goes.
A product of Sonoma County, Andy DelMonte grew up in Healdsburg and graduated from Cardinal Newman HS and SRJC. With music degrees from Arizona State University and Boston University, Andy has directed and taught at Analy HS, Casa Grande HS, SRJC and Willowside MS, and he currently teaches at Parkside and Brook Haven Schools in Sebastopol. He has directed and sung with several local community and church choirs as well. Andy and his family live in Sebastopol where they love being part of the West County community.
Ruth Escher has enjoyed a long career as a professional chorister, from small groups such as Magnificat and Theatre of Voices to larger choirs like the San Francisco Symphony Chorus. She is a founding member of the American Bach Soloists and one of four women to have toured and performed with Chanticleer. Ruth has degrees from the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music, and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. A native Californian, she is happy to live now in beautiful Sonoma County and to sing this fun music with lovely friends.
John started singing at a young age. He was lucky to start his singing foundation in elementary school with Marla Tusa. In high school he sang with Kira Bombace as a member of the SRHS Concert Choir and Chamber Singers and the California Redwood Chorale under the direction of Robert Hazelrigg. In addition, he sang under Jody Beneke at Santa Rosa Junior College. John currently sings with the California Redwood Chorale under the direction of Gage Purdy.
Lisa has been a vocalist and musician most of her life. She sung under the direction of Dan Earl as a member of his SRHS choirs and the Santa Rosa Symphonic Chorus; Curtis Sprenger with the SRJC Concert Choir and Chamber Singers; Robert Hazelrigg with Sonoma County Chamber Singers; Gage Purdy and Robert Hazelrigg with the California Redwood Chorale and was a founding member of The Tangents under the direction of Tim Imbach. When not singing, Lisa enjoys gardening, playing the cello and electric bass, and spending time with family and friends.
From church choir and elementary theater to a K-12 music credential and degree from Belmont University, Sammie has been surrounded by music for as long as she can remember. Sammie currently sings with the Occidental Community Choir and now SingChronous. She can’t wait to continue to foster joy through music with SingChronous, and throughout Sonoma County.
Hi! My name is Crystal McDougall-Purdy and I was born and raised in Santa Rosa, California. As my family can attest, I have sung loudly and proudly from a very young age. I have participated in multiple choirs and theater productions over the years as well studying voice privately and in college. I am currently the Artistic Director of the Occidental Community Choir and participate in the California Redwood Chorale with my dear husband, Gage Purdy. We also teach vocal coaching together through our private studio. Throughout my life, music has been a consistent source of joy, inspiration and sanctuary. Musical community and collaboration are a great passion of mine. I am thrilled to be a part of such a stellar group of musicians.
Ali Miller made her public singing debut at church at the age of two when she asked for a microphone, stood on a chair, and sang a gospel hymn. Since then, she has directed and sang in several choral ensembles. Ali is currently a private piano teacher and music educator.
Gage is a bass, an instrumentalist, and a private music instructor. He sang with Bob Worth’s Bach Choir, Carol Menke’s Cantiamo, Jody Beneke’s SRJC Choir, and the Santa Rosa Symphonic Chorus under Dan Earl. In addition to co-founding the Manzanita Harmony tenor/bass choir, Gage directs the Occcidental Community Choir, the California Redwood Chorale, and the Santa Rosa Unitarian Universalist Congregation.
Sara grew up in a family where music was a constant. From show tunes to classic rock, Sara has always been drawn to the harmonies. Sara has been singing since her kindergarten talent show; she enjoys singing both alto and second soprano. Most recently, Sara has sung with the California Redwood Chorale. Sara lives with her family in Santa Rosa and works as a Speech-Language Pathologist with children in Sonoma County. She is excited to be a founding member of SingChronous!
